Message From the Chief

Thank you for taking a moment to read this update. Our team has been working steadily through a period of growth and change, and I want to share a brief message about where we are headed. We’ve made meaningful progress, but there is more work ahead—and I’m confident in what we can accomplish together. I appreciate your continued commitment and the integrity you bring to your work every day.

  • Check your smoke alarms Replace batteries every year, replace smoke alarms after 10 years
  • Electrical Safety Never plug space heaters or other appliances into extension cords or power strips
  • Fire Extinguisher Training See our Community Services tab for more
  • Emergency Preparedness Create an emergency plan for your household
  • Maintain your defensible space Maintain at least 30 feet of space around your home free of wildfire fuels
