Due to elevated fire danger caused by below-average precipitation and early spring warming, open burning will be terminated early this year.

All burn permits will expire effective May 1, 2026. Open burning will not be permitted after this date.

All residents are required to complete any authorized burning activities prior to May 1, 2026.

Trailers for yard debris disposal remain available and are strongly encouraged as an alternative to burning. To schedule delivery, contact our office at (775) 246-6209.

Compliance with these restrictions is necessary to reduce wildfire risk and protect life and property. For questions or clarification, please contact our office at any time.
